Our Experience

Robert Bascom has vast experience in all forms of land surveying, having been part of a family-owned business for over 30 years. His years of experience encompasses all aspects of boundary survey, aerial photogrametry, topographic surveys, site development, expert witness testimony, construction stakeout and as-built surveys.

Mr. Bascom is the Principal in charge of conceptual land planning, site planning, surveys: boundary, topographic, control, and record research. He also handles the expert testimony for most of the boundary disputes and litigation that the firm is involved with and represents development projects before local land use commissions, state and federal regulatory agencies. He has completed numerous surveys throughout Connecticut for sites ranging from a few square feet to over 1,000 acres, with or without the use of aerial topogrametry.

Mr. Bascom has been involved in the design, construction and layout of events for more than 75 high school and college athletic tracks throughout the East Coast certified to NCAA standards.

Patrick Benjamin has over 30 years experience as a civil/hydraulic engineer. His past design experience has included residential septic system design and repair, modeling of hydraulic systems and structures for stormwater management, watershed studies and flood control. He has worked on projects for commercial, industrial, residential land development, cluster housing, land development assessment, construction management, river and wetlands restoration projects, gravel quarry designs, recreational facilities layout and construction. He also has related technical skills of surveying, drafting and soil boring logging.

Mr. Benjamin has permit experience with the Army Corps of Engineers, F.E.M.A., State Department of Health, DEP, (Water Compliance, Coastal Resource Management Agency, etc.), EPA as well as Municipal Planning & Zoning and Inland Wetland applications.

Steven M. Skultety, L.S. has 20 years in the Land Surveying and Civil Engineering industry. Performing Land Surveying in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. He is also experienced in construction as-builts confirming NCAA tolerances for athletic tracks as far west as Michigan and as far north as Prince Edwards Island, Canada.

His local Land Surveying experience includes: ALTA/ASCM land title surveys, Property / Boundary surveys, Land Subdivision plans, Site development plans, Easement, & topographic surveying, FEMA Elevation Certificates. He is also the Head Auto Cad Draftsman, Party Chief and Robotic Instrument Operator.

Construction Surveying Experience:
-Three year project for the Greater Springfield Reliability Project providing construction stakeout services for land clearing, road building, and high tension power poles over the course of 38 miles.
-Structural layout of the foundation for the Front Street South parking garage in Hartford, Ct.
-Multiple large additions to the Masonic home in Wallingford, Ct.
